PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY CAMPS

Ages 5 - 16 | September 01, 2026 - June 30, 2027

Not sure what to do with your child when the schools are closed for
professional development days this school year?
Do they like to swim, bike, run, and have fun with other kids?

Check out our new Professional Development Day Camps! Our inaugural P.D. Day Camp program will run from September 01, 2026 to June 30, 2027 and offers a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for students (ages 5 - 16) to keep busy when schools are closed. Our camps are led by experienced NCCP-trained triathlon coaches with post-secondary education in kinesiology, physical education, or related fields.

Lunches are provided.

Every child is welcome, regardless of their ability or prior triathlon experience!

Registration for fall, winter, and spring P.D. Day Camps is now OPEN!

The registration form is at the bottom of this page.

Our Professional Development Day Camp Program

We are offering programming for two distinct groups of students between the ages of five and sixteen. While groups may share some spaces or activities, each program follows a separate, age-appropriate program tailored to the developmental needs of the students.

No previous triathlon experience is required and kids with all abilities are welcome.

The age categories are approximate.

We will do our best to keep friends and people at similar developmental levels together.

1

Introduction to Triathlon Camps
For ages 5 - 9

This group will explore the fundamental movement skills that are the building blocks needed to learn more complex sport skills later in life. Swimming lessons will focus on water safety and basic freestyle and backstroke technique. Biking skills will be taught during fall and spring camps. The kids will play running games.

2

Youth Triathlon Camps
For ages 10 - 16

This program transitions kids to learning sport-specific triathlon skills in a fun and supportive way. Students will delve deeper into making strategic decisions in multi-sport races. With no screen time for 8 hours, kids will have the chance to meet like-minded individuals and connect with athletes from different schools.

It is not ALL about moving.
Kids will build vital social skills and have time to make new friends!

All Students will...

  • Develop fundamental movement skills, sport-specific skills and an understanding of triathlon strategy.

  • Develop swimming fitness and technique.

  • Explore Edmonton's bike pathways in the fall and spring camps; they will practice bike handling and safe group riding skills.

  • Develop their running skills through games.
