While pursuing a degree in kinesiology, Doug has coached athletes of all ages and abilities and has the tools to help them reach their triathlon goals.

Mary.PNG

Mary is in her 3rd year at the University of Alberta pursuing her Bachelor's of Kinesiology.  Her roots lie in competing at the provincial level in swimming and cross-country, as well as competing in many track and trail races. In high school, she was a part of the FACT (Fitness And Cross Training) program, which replaced her gym class with early morning runs, swims, bikes or workouts to prepare for the final exam, a 10 km run and a mini triathlon. This solidified her joy for the sport and has since joined the University of Alberta Triathlon Club for 2 years, recently serving as the Risk Manager. She has coached various sports, including swimming and is a certified Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. She has competed in a few Aquathlons, Mini Tri and Sprints and competed on various Ultra relay teams for trail races such as the Sinister 7 and the Canadian Death Race. Recently, she qualified to represent Canada in the Aquathon at the 2026 World Age-Group Multisport Championship in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is really excited for this amazing opportunity to work with an incredible coaching staff and hone her skills through Tri-Champs while working with athletes to help them reach their goals!
